Kevin P. Scambler
Prinicipal of Kevin P Scambler & Associates
Kevin started studying for his Diploma in Accounting at Box Hill College of TAFE whilst working full-time for the then State Bank of Victoria. When the Commonwealth and State banks merged, Kevin was awarded a Bursary to complete his Bachelor of Business (Accounting) at the Deakin University in Melbourne which he graduated from in 1990.
He continued to work full time for the bank in the Internal Auditing section whilst also working part time with a local Accountant.
When transferred to Brisbane with the Commonwealth Bank in 1994 Kevin and his family chose to live on the beautiful Sunshine Coast. He became a Registered Tax Agent and subsequently started his own accounting business on a part time basis whilst he continued to work as an Auditor then as an Investigating Accountant specialising in Cash Flow Lending .
In 1997 Kevin decided to work full time building his own Accounting Practice which began as Your Mobile Accountant Professionals - Maroochydore. This subsequently evolved into Kevin P Scambler & Associates.
Kevin has been practicing for over 10 years locally on the Sunshine Coast but has a diverse range of clients spreading throughout Australia and overseas.
As a Member of the Association of Taxation & Management Accountants, Kevin also holds a Diploma in Financial Planning and established Pinnacle 1 Services as a sister company to Kevin P Scambler & Associates to provide his client base with an all round service of Accounting , Financial Planning, Lending and Insurance platform.
Kevin has been married to Debbie for over 30 years and has three children all living on the Sunshine Coast. Debbie also works within both practices in an administrative role.
Kevin has built his accounting practice to primarily cater for individuals and small business clients including "mum and dad investors" and property

Debbie Scambler
Administration Manager
Debbie has been bookkeeping for over 30 years and has gained experience in a variety of accounting packages.
Initially she worked within the Legal Industry performing accounting, bookkeeping duties, compliance of Trust Accounts and Wages. Debbie's role eventually expanded and evolved into that of Office Administrator.
Following the family move to Queensland in 1994 Debbie continued to work within the Legal Industry until eventually joining Kevin in an Administrative role.
Debbie maintains all books for Kevin P Scambler & Associates and Pinnacle 1 Services, as well as managing the Trust Account. Her role also entails Human Resources, recruitment, wages and general office requirements.
My role also entails looking after staffing needs including wages and recruitment and general office requirements.
As a part of the team and being able to assist Kevin in this role is important to the businesses as this allows Kevin to be available to service his clients in his professional capacity.
Although Debbie is not in the office every day, she has the flexibility to work from home and be available to both the businesses and family.
Whilst they have a balance of working together, Kevin and Debbie also share a passion for the property market as well as spending quality time with their family.
Debbie plays netball weekly and is an active member of a ladies gym. Their common interests include camping, boating, bike riding, travel and football (AFL).

Leigh Clay
Tax Consultant
Leigh commenced with Kevin P. Scambler and Associates in 2000 and is happy to assist you with Tax return preparation and Business Activity Statements (BAS). With many years of experience in the Finance industry, she is able to offer specialist Cashflow Manager and MYOB support.
Leigh is also a Qualified justice of the Peace.

Andrew Burness
Tax Consultant
Andrew has been working with Kevin P. Scambler & Associates in tax for over 6 years. Andrew does not fit the mould of the stereotypical accountant due to his outgoing personality and various interests in four wheel driving, camping, fishing and sports. He can help you out in all areas of accounting starting from a very basic tax return, all the way up to a very large scale business with a complex structure.

Jessica Blight
Trainee Accountant
Jessica has been a part of the team at Kevin P. Scambler & Associates since 2005. She began as the Receptionist but with her passion to succeed in life an the encouragement from the rest of the team, Jessica is now studying to obtain her degree in Accounting. She has the motivation and perseverance required to achieve her goal.
Jessica is able to provide assistance with Tax preparation, Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Cashflow Manager.

Sarah
Receptionist
Sarah joined Kevin P. Scambler & Associates in July 2008. Generally she occupies the reception desk and is the welcoming face you see when you initially enter the office. Sarah aims to create a relaxed atmosphere for clients and is willing to assist with all enquiries, whether you call in person or over the phone.

Paul Crothall
Financial Advisor
Paul holds a Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning). Paul has 20 years in the finance industry and over 8 years specifically in Financial Planning covering most aspects of Financial Planning including Wealth Creation, Personal Risk Protection, Tax Effective Investing & Superannuation/Retirement Planning.
Paul worked for 13 years for one of Australia's largest Banks which culminated in being a Home Finance Manager for 3 of the banks premier branches for the final 3 years of this time. Looking to focus on a career that provided a better opportunity to forge long term relationships with his clients Paul then commenced his Financial Planning career and has worked with a range of financial planning groups and businesses across all spectrums of financial planning services.
At Pinnacle 1 Services we like to explore all strategy options for our clients to ensure we provide appropriate recommendations, we achieve this by getting to know as much about our clients as possible which allows us to confidently recommend strategies that will meet our clients goals and objectives to provide them with peace of mind about their futures.
Paul is licensed through WealthSure Pty Ltd (AFSL 238080), Australia's largest independently owned financial planning group and a founding member of and is a principal member of the Association of Independently Owned Financial Planners (AIOFP).
